RoHS Compliance

The European Union (EU) RoHS Directive (the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment) is intended to reduce the use of substances that may pose risks to human health or the environment. Although Syrris products fall into an exempt category, it is our policy to design products and conduct business in a manner consistent with sound environmental management practices. WEEE Compliance

In the European Union, this symbol indicates that when the last user wishes to discard this product, it must be sent to appropriate facilities for recovery and recycling.

By not discarding this product along with other household-type waste, the volume of waste sent to incinerators or landfills will be reduced and natural resources will be conserved.

Under the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive and implementing legislation, when customers buy new Syrris electrical and electronic equipment they are entitled to:

• Send back any old equipment for recycling on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis.
• Send the new equipment back for recycling when this ultimately becomes waste.

Syrris will provide collection and recycling arrangements for all Syrris electrical and electronic equipment when it becomes waste. Our approach to sharing the new environmental costs is as follows:

• You, as the customer, pay for transportation of your WEEE to our appointed recycler as agreed in our Sales Terms and Conditions.
• We, as the company who put the product on the market, pay for the costs of treatment, recycling, recovery and reporting of the WEEE as required by national legislation.
