Pressurisation Module - Africa Flow Chemistry Modules - Syrris
Pressurisation Module
The Pressurisation module serves three major functions: avoiding bubbles in the flow reactor, inert gas blanket over inputs and enabling superheating of the reaction (by pressurisation).
The Pressurization module supplies inert gas pressurisation of reagent/solvent inputs to the Reagent Pumps and back pressure regulation of the reactor output.
The input bottles shown can be pressurised to 1 bar, avoiding bubble formation when aspirating and pumping.
The back pressure regulator (BPR) allows the reactor to be pressurised up to at least 7 bar. This not only allows reactions to be superheated 60°C - 120°C above their normal boiling point but also avoids outgassing.
