Asia Tube Cooler video

The Asia Tube Cooler from Syrris enables a range of fluoropolymer and stainless steel Tube Reactors to be cooled as low as -68°C. The Asia Tube Cooler can be used in either standalone mode or can plug into an Asia Heater to have the reaction temperature displayed and monitored in real time. The Asia Tube Cooler is compatible with the full range of Asia Tube Reactors. The first thing to do when setting up your Tube Cooler is to connect your nitrogen inlet. This allows a nitrogen purge that prevents misting and icing. If you are interested in temperature monitoring from the Asia Heater, at this point you connect the Tube Cooler adaptor plate. The connectors are under the module and for the gas inlet are a standard push fit and for the Tube Cooler adaptor plate they are standard RTD. In standalone mode, to attach the tube reactor onto the tube cooler, carefully slide the Tube Reactor onto the Tube Cooler and then rotate until a click is heard and the Tube Reactor is perfectly aligned. With the tube reactor in place, you don’t have to initiate the cooling. In this instance, we are using dry ice and acetone as our cooling medium to get us down to about -68°C. You simply remove the insulated lid and then charge with some cooling medium, in this case dry ice. Once the cooling bath is full of dry ice, slowly pour in your acetone. Then when the cooling bath is full to the brim, replace the insulated lid. The Tube Cooler will now get down to the minimum temperature as quickly as possible. When you’re doing temperature monitoring from the Asia Heater, just attach the Tube Cooler adapter plate onto the front of the Asia heater, secure with the latch and turn on. The temperature will be automatically monitored on the front panel. At the end of your experiment, just remove your Tube Reactor and remove your cooling bath by rotating and simply pour away your waste solvent. The Asia Tube Cooler can be used with all the other modules in the Asia product range. It can be used to facilitate numerous cold reactions, such as diazotizations, Friedel-Crafts acylations and Michael Additions.
